THE 99FM Playhouse kicked off the year with a ‘Meet The DJ’s Cocktail Event’ last week that was hot, despite the rainy weather.

Marco Erasmus definitely brought the heat with his fire-dancing act which added just a little chilli spice to the occasion.

A plethora of designer cocktails soon had tongues wagging and the little room that is all that’s left of the once-vibrant El Cubano, was quickly crammed full as the courtyard became impractical due to the downpour. Nevertheless, high-spirited engagement was the order of the night and, no doubt, some interesting acquaintances were made.

‘I Live Art’, the UNAM Annual Student Art Exhibition is on at the FNCC Gallery and extends to the UNAM Art Gallery and the Goethe Centre/NaDS Auditorium until 26 November. Read more »

FAMAZ ATTAK ... The Namibian rock band entertained audiences last Friday night at Barnyard after
Pennylane opened for them. Famaz Attak quickly had the audience on their feet and dancing to the
music, according to Sun journalist Ellanie Smit. The band will be playing at Zenzo lounge this Friday
at 19h00.
