Agra worthy PMR award winners
Agra’s commitment to being the one stop destination for its esteemed clients and to be a notable corporate responsible citizen was again highlighted with the receipt of a handful or awards.
Agra was honoured with three Diamond Arrow awards and two Golden Arrow awards, and rated highest in the agriculture business in all five categories at the annual PMR(Professional Management Review) awards.
During the lavish function, Agra took the honours of the highest award, the Diamond Arrow, for outstanding performance as livestock business, tractor and farming implement dealerships and seed cultivar providers. As suppliers of agricultural equipment and products in Namibia and as fertilizer supplier, Agra was also rated highest in the agriculture business sector, earning two Golden Arrow awards.
PMR does an annual national survey on Namibia to profile the country as a growth point and potential investment area for foreign and local developers and investors. The survey measures companies, institutions, Government entities and
individuals on their contribution to the economic growth and development of the country, levels of management expertise, corporate governance, competencies, brand awareness and levels of innovation.
Agra, as part of the Namibian agriculture for more than thirty years, has grown its business to serve the Namibian agricultural community and the general public countrywide. Agra currently has 17 retail branches and livestock services throughout Namibia, employs more than 500 Namibians, and achieves an annual turnover exceeding N$1,7billion.
This, together with Agra’s continuous investment in local infrastructure and corporate social investment of more than N$1 million through sponsorships, social projects, charitable events and staff development, makes Agra a worthy winner of these awards.
