KK loses his head again

Barely four months after launching a scathing verbal attack on Namibian Sun’s Editor Jan Poolman the usually enraged and impassioned Youth Minister Kazenambo Kazenambo, lost his head again.

This time around, the controversial Cabinet Member verbally abused Insight and freelance journalist Tileni Mongudhi, calling him a “stupid, unqualified, inexperienced Owambo journalist” during a heated interview last month.

According to the local current affairs magazine, Kazenambo went ballistic and made tribal slurs towards the journalist.

“You Owambos are just like the Boers ... worse, because you are hungry and stupid ... worse than Jan Poolman ... If I could, I would kick you ... I would f#$% you up,” Kazenambo was quoted as saying by Insight.

The minister was fired up after the journalist asked him about perceptions that he may have been seen as more of a Herero than a national representative when dealing with the genocide skulls issue.
The minister was reportedly also irked by another question from the journalist, who wanted to know whether he was indeed reprimanded by President Hifikepunye Pohamba for bringing the Swapo Party and Government into disrepute following his highly-publicised public outbursts, most notably the racial attack on Poolman.

The query was followed by ‘tribal’ insults, with Kazenambo accusing the journalist of being part of an “Owambo conspiracy” against him and further accusing him of being sent as an Owambo journalist to him by “stupid Owambo ministers”.

Kazenambo was also quoted as saying, “...you people just can’t take the fact that the next president will be a non-Owambo.”

According to Insight, the journalist and his photographer were thrown out of the minister’s office, while he confiscated the journalist’s voice recorder that was being used during the interview.

In September last year, Kazenambo slandered Namibian Sun’s editor and labelled him as a ‘Koevoet’ journalist, an ‘insensitive Boer’ and ‘literally sick’ amongst many other slurs, following a report on the repatriation mission of the Ovaherero and Nama skulls from Germany last year.

At the time, Kazenambo also threatened white Namibians with land invasions.
