Tulisan makes name at lightning speed
This 17-year-old from Otjiwarongo, or rather, the OTT, is fast making a name for himself in the local music industry with a fan base constantly growing in numbers - especially among young ladies.
We have not seen much from him yet, but Tulinane Amushila, a Grade 12-learner, has already started working with big names in the industry, including Turntable Kings Productions’ DJKBoz and Kwaito artist EXIT.
The former member of Platform has decided to go solo after being spotted by the owner of Lazpak Publishing in the North.
He is originally from Ongwediva, but currently resides in Otjiwarongo where he is completing his Grade 12.
Singles currently played on local radio stations include To My Girlfriend, recorded at Empire Records and produced by Preezy. Kanaave was produced by DJ –KBoz and was recorded at Turntable Kings Productions.
EXIT features on Chillin’ which is together with Champion produced by AB Pro, while Mr. Popular, featuring Platform & Tesh P, is produced by Preezy and recorded at Blue Chilli Studios.
The music video of To My Girlfriend already plays on local television stations, while Kanaave’s video will be released soon.
He is currently shooting the video of Chillin’, also expected to be released soon.
You can check out his Facebook page, Tulisan, or the video on YouTube at Tulisan065. Lazarus Ueitele, owner of Lazpak publishing, is also Tulisan’s manager and took him under his wing ever since he spotted Tulisan in the North in December.
“This man has outstanding talent. I see great potential in him, and will help him in every way I can to get him to the top.”
Tulisan is into Kwaito and Hip-Hop and writes his own lyrics, he told tjil!
“I write a lot about girls, because they are special,” he said.
Regarding the local music industry, he says it is tough with so many rising artists and that he defi nitely thinks Namibia has a great future in the international industry. tjil! spent some time listening to a promotional pack, and must say that there are some pretty good sounds coming from this man. A full album is expected early next year.
